Haslar
Haslar sits on the southern tip of the Gosport peninsula, flanked by the waters of The Solent and Haslar Lake.
Haslar Marina is a picturesque marina in a prime location for sailing on The Solent. A popular destination for yachting, it’s also home to the only surviving World War II era British submarine, the HMS Alliance, which is part of The Royal Navy Submarine Museum, and The Lightship, a unique restaurant aboard a restored 1940s lightship.
Royal Haslar was once one of Britain’s leading Royal Naval Hospitals, and one of the largest hospitals in the world. Its historic brick buildings have now been redeveloped into stylish waterfront properties offering sought-after modern living spaces set within period architecture.

Priddy’s Hard and Royal Clarence Yard
Connected by the Millennium Bridge, Priddy’s Hard and Royal Clarence Yard form one of Gosport’s most distinctive waterfront neighbourhoods, where beautifully preserved naval buildings sit alongside modern homes and vibrant cultural spaces.Â
Once central to Britain’s naval supply and armament history, Priddy’s Hard has been transformed into a cultural hub featuring artisan companies, waterfront restaurants, and businesses housed in its historic buildings including the Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower and the Powder Monkey micro-brewery.
Royal Clarence Yard, once a hub for Royal Navy food supplies as well as Queen Victoria’s disembarkation point for her journeys to the Isle of Wight, is now a thriving cultural quarter. Waterfront cafes, bars and restaurants face across to the Royal Clarence Marina, and buildings such as the Rum Store, once used to house the Royal Navy’s rum rations, are being redeveloped.Â

Stokes Bay
Stokes Bay is one of Gosport’s most scenic coastal neighbourhoods, offering a wide-open beach, sweeping Solent views and a relaxed seaside atmosphere.Â
Loved by walkers, swimmers and families, the bay provides opportunities for watersports with facilities like Stokes Bay Sailing Club and Stoked Watersports, leisure activities like Gosport & Stokes Bay Golf Club, and fantastic sunsets over the Solent.Â
Stokes Bay is also home to the Gosport Lifeboat Station and The Diving Museum – a museum dedicated to the history of diving housed in a Victorian coastal defence battery.Â
In a prime location on the southern tip of Gosport, Gilkicker Fort is a historic coastal defence structure that was built to protect Portsmouth Harbour. This striking semi-circular example of military architecture is now being converted into a unique coastal residential development with stunning views across the Solent.
