Running along the waterfront and through the town is a brick pathway that was laid in 1999 to celebrate the new millennium.
The route links key landmarks including Millennium Bridge to Priddy’s Hard and the Explosion Museum, Royal Clarence Yard, the former RN Granary & Bakery, the Rum Store, and Queen Victoria’s private railway remnants at Victoria Quay.
It continues past the former Camper & Nicholsons boatyard, along the Gosport Waterfront and Esplanade, by the Gosport Ferry, Trinity Church, and Bastion No.1 (1678).
The final stretch crosses Haslar Bridge to the Submarine Museum, Gunboat Yard, and Royal Haslar Hospital and Barracks (1802) — the UK’s first purpose-built brick barracks.
