Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 AA standard due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non Accessible Content

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible.

Accessibility Issues

WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content
Some embedded maps do not meet accessibility requirements.

WCAG 1.2.4 Captions Live
Some video streams do not have captions.

WCAG 1.4.4 Resize Text
Zooming and scaling must not be disabled. The current implementation includes a maximum scale setting within the viewport meta tag, which prevents zooming on some mobile devices. This affects content across the website.

WCAG 1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus
When hovering over navigation menus, some content does not meet accessibility requirements and may not remain visible or dismissible in accordance with the success criteria.

WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard
The search icon in the navigation is not keyboard accessible.

WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible
Keyboard focus is not consistently visible. After tabbing from the Contact Us webpage, focus moves onto hidden event links within a content box. In addition, the search icon does not display a visible keyboard focus indicator. This became apparent after a fix was applied to the hamburger menu at 200% zoom and above. The hamburger menu focus is now visible, but the search icon focus indicator is missing.

WCAG 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value
Some PDF documents are not accessible to screen readers.

Improving Accessibility

We continue to work with our website suppliers and carry out regular updates to improve accessibility across the site. We are reviewing the issues listed above and prioritising fixes in line with WCAG 2.2 AA requirements.
