Millennium Walk

YourSpace Gosport 16×9

Details

Running along the waterfront, the Millennium Walk is a picturesque route that takes in much of Gosport’s historic waterfront. It was built in 1999 to mark the new millennium.

The route links key landmarks including Millennium Bridge to Priddy’s Hard and the Explosion Museum, Royal Clarence Yard, the former RN Granary & Bakery, the Rum Store, and Queen Victoria’s private railway remnants at Victoria Quay.

It continues past the former Camper & Nicholsons boatyard, along the Gosport Waterfront and Esplanade, by the Gosport Ferry, Trinity Church, and Bastion No.1.

The final stretch crosses Haslar Bridge to The Royal Navy Submarine Museum, Gunboat Yard, and Royal Haslar Hospital and Barracks (1802) — the UK’s first purpose-built brick barracks.
