The star ratings reflect the overall quality of the experience.

= Well presented and well run.
= Good level of quality and comfort.
= Excellent standard throughout.
= Exceptional with a degree of luxury.
VisitBritain has also awarded places that "go the extra mile" a Gold or Silver Award.
Some of the featured accommodation has also been approved by the Hampshire Hospitality Quality Assurance Award.
